Description
UNDP Zambia seeks a consulting firm to assess the Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company's data and AI readiness for an AI-enabled non-revenue water decision-intelligence platform. The scope includes mapping operational processes, datasets, source systems, data owners, data flows, and access arrangements; assessing data quality, completeness, accessibility, interoperability, and security; establishing an NRW baseline; and identifying and prioritizing one to three feasible AI and advanced-analytics applications. The firm must provide multidisciplinary expertise in data architecture and engineering, AI and machine learning, water utility and NRW operations, GIS, data governance, cybersecurity, responsible AI, and institutional change. Deliverables include an inception report and work plan; stakeholder, NRW process, and data-readiness assessments; AI and technical feasibility and timbuktoo EDGE assessments; a validation workshop; a final assessment report; and a costed 12-month Phase 2 implementation roadmap. The assignment is expected to require 40 working days within an eight-week engagement period and will be performed primarily remotely, with travel to Lusaka and selected institutions or data-hosting locations as required.
