Description
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a Qualified Appraisers List (QAL) for right-of-way appraisal services. The program covers appraisals of real property needed for state transportation projects, including partial or entire acquisitions of commercial, residential, and multifamily properties, as well as property improvements, personal property, and access rights. Appraisals must meet stringent standards to withstand potential condemnation proceedings. Qualified appraisers will be eligible for contracting opportunities as they arise, with work assigned via a Schedule of Appraisals. The QAL will remain open for five years, unless canceled or extended. Appraisers must hold a college degree or have five years of relevant experience, and be an actively licensed state certified general appraiser in Oregon.
