Description
The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Technical Assistance is seeking individual Program Officers for Washington, DC-based support of international technical assistance projects in banking and financial services, budget and financial accountability, economic crimes, government debt and infrastructure finance, and revenue administration. Duties include maintaining advisor contracts, arranging travel and logistics, communicating with overseas advisors and government partners, drafting annual project proposals and budgets, monitoring project activities and expenditures, maintaining project records, preparing briefings and reports, and planning conferences and meetings. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have strong written and oral communication, analytical, computer, collaboration, and deadline-management skills. An undergraduate degree and two to five years of relevant experience are identified as ideal qualifications; a master's degree and relevant international, budgeting, financial-management, or project-coordination experience are preferred. The positions are personal services contractor roles rather than civil service positions, require eligibility for a Secret security clearance and State Department medical clearance for worldwide travel, and may involve work at government office space, the contractor's facility, and domestic or international temporary duty travel.
