Description
This funding opportunity solicits grant applications to support the discovery and development of interventions aimed at preventing and treating substance use disorders (SUDs) and overdose. The research scope includes medications and medical devices for treating co-occurring SUDs. The program will support preclinical and clinical research studies designed to yield high-impact results quickly, advancing candidate interventions towards regulatory approval or clinical adoption. This NOFO utilizes the UG3/UH3 activity code. Eligible applicants include federal government agencies, faith-based or community-based organizations, non-federally recognized Indian/Native American tribal governments, non-U.S. entities, regional organizations, and U.S. territories or possessions. Various applicant types are accepted, including city/township governments, public and Indian housing authorities, nonprofits, state governments, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, county governments, for-profit organizations (other than small businesses), public and state institutions of higher education, special district governments, independent school districts, other Native American tribal organizations, and small businesses.
