Description
The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) Defense Capability Accelerator (CapX) intends to utilize Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) procedures throughout Fiscal Year 2026. These CSOs will be used on behalf of interagency partners within the Department of War (DoW), including Military Departments (MILDEPS), 4th Estate entities, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and others, to seek innovative, commercial solutions for specific mission and operational challenges. The CSO procedures, authorized by the National Defense Authorization Act, are designed to competitively procure innovative commercial products and services, including technologies, with a streamlined approach to engage both traditional and non-traditional government contractors. This revision updates two critical topic areas: Integrated Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Automation Ecosystems, and Cyber Operations, Resilience, and Identity Analytics. The updated descriptions for these topics include more specific details on capabilities of interest, such as federated data engineering, agentic AI, robotic process automation, automated compliance validation, cloud-native DevSecOps enablement, and advanced vulnerability research. Anticipated topic areas include Integrated Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Automation Ecosystems; Autonomous and Uncrewed Systems Innovation; GEOINT AI, Analytics, and Geospatial Tradecraft Modernization; Resilient Positioning, Communication, and Spectrum Operations; Adaptive Sustainment and Distributed Logistics; Advanced Munitions Enabling Technologies; Cyber Operations, Resilience, and Identity Analytics; and other innovative capabilities. Specific CSO solicitations will be released separately.
