Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is soliciting construction services for interior renovations at the Prestonsburg Readiness Center. The work includes replacing all exterior doors and the front entry system with a blast-rated system; renovating shower-room plumbing fixtures; installing new water heaters and a recirculating hot-water system; and replacing below-slab cast-iron sanitary piping. Mechanical work includes replacing DX split systems, installing restroom exhaust systems, replacing radiant heaters in the Drill Hall, and upgrading the Automated Logic building automation system. Electrical and technology work includes installing LED fixtures with occupancy-sensor controls throughout the building, relocating the IT room, and installing new data cabling. The solicitation includes a $75,000 allowance for HVAC building-automation controls provided by EMCOR Services. The estimated project duration is 210 days to substantial completion plus 30 days to final completion.
