BidscopevsProxity
Full state and local discovery for $45 — no add-on price list.
If you're not using Bidscope, you're missing perfect-fit opportunities.
Most tools watch bid portals. Bidscope's agentic crawler also goes where there is no portal — into school district Google Drives, town and county websites, legal notices in local newspapers, and council and board packets. A solicitation that never reaches a portal never reaches a portal-based tool. It's still on Bidscope.
The short answer
Proxity is a $200-a-month federal parts and contact-directory database — NSN drawings, prices back to 1961, and phone books of CIOs, purchasing offices and public works officials — with capabilities statements, proposals, certifications and FOIA requests priced separately on top, while Bidscope is $45 per seat per month for every state and local solicitation in the country plus Canada, matched to your business by AI with the requirements already pulled out of the attachments.

What a year costs
Both prices below are published — ours on our pricing page, Proxity's on its subscription page. The difference is what each one covers, and what still has to be bought separately afterwards.
SAM solicitations and award history, NSN and parts data, contracting officer and agency directories.
Federal, all 50 states and Canada, AI matching, extracted requirements and pipeline.
$1,860 less per year with Bidscope — Proxity lists 4.4× the monthly price, and that's before anything priced separately.
Proxity's product list prices these separately, on top of the subscription. Bidscope has no equivalent line items — there is nothing to add to the $45.

Why teams switch from Proxity
The reasons people give us on onboarding calls, in the order we hear them.
We go where the bids actually are
Proxity indexes SAM and state organizations. Bidscope runs an agentic crawler that goes past the portals entirely: into school district Google Drives, town and county sites that were never built to be scraped, legal notices in local newspapers, council and board packets. That's how we carry more state and local solicitations than any other commercially available tool — and the perfect-fit bid you never saw is usually one that never reached a portal at all.
50,000+ sources daily, including agencies with no bid portal
The bids themselves, not the phone book
Proxity's state and local offering is largely directories: CIOs in every state, purchasing offices in 1,400 cities and counties, 1,500 public works officials, state agency phone books. Useful once you know what you're chasing. Bidscope starts from the opportunity — every county, city, school district and special district solicitation in all fifty states plus Canada, scored against your capabilities, with the buyer's named contact already attached to it.
All 50 states and Canada, bids first
Matching that reads meaning, not codes
Proxity delivers daily results by keyword, NSN, FSC or NAICS. Those return exactly what you asked for, which means the bid described in words you didn't anticipate never appears — and state and local agencies rarely use federal supply codes at all. Bidscope matches semantically against a plain-language description of your business, so an RFP for desks matches a profile that says tables, and every opportunity carries a relevance score.
A relevance score, not a code list
The attachments, already read
Every attached document is processed before you open it, and what's inside becomes data on the opportunity: budget, bonding, insurance limits, set-asides, pre-bid meetings with the date and the Zoom link or address, local preference, place of performance, and exactly what you have to submit. Because it's structured, you filter and sort the whole list by those fields instead of opening PDFs to find out whether you're eligible.
30+ filters over extracted requirements
One price, and nothing else to buy
Bidscope is $45/month per seat billed annually, or $90 month-to-month, and that's the whole invoice. Proxity's subscription is $200/month, and its product list prices the rest individually — $500 for a capabilities statement, $950 for a proposal, $2,000 to $3,500 for a certification, $200 for a FOIA request plus 20% of whatever the agency charges to produce it.

Your data, in your own tools
A REST API and an MCP server on Professional, so Claude, ChatGPT or your own scripts can query opportunities, awards, vendors, buyers and buyer contacts directly. Ask "which school districts near me bought what we sell last year, and who signed off" in your own client and get real data back, rather than exporting a spreadsheet and starting again.

Contractors are winning with Bidscope
Bidscope helps first-time contractors and enterprise businesses discover and win more contracts.
“In less than three months, we secured our first contract valued at $86,000 the first year, with the possibility of renewal each year for up to 5 years total, or $430,000 in new business. Investing in Bidscope is one of the best business decisions I have made in a very long time. There are a lot of things in the market that promise to increase sales and we have invested in many of them only to be disappointed. To date, none of them has so quickly and so greatly paid off!”
“Bidscope has been a cost-effective addition to our U.S. Federal, State, and local government business development pipeline activities. It has allowed our business to broaden our awareness and reach across the government procurement landscape. The email notifications are efficient and informative, allowing for a quick and confident assessment of interest.”
“Bidscope has significantly streamlined our RFP/RFQ search process through flexible, criteria-based filtering that quickly identifies relevant opportunities. We've found RFPs we hadn't seen through other channels, even within our home state. This has allowed us to expand our reach and pursue projects we otherwise would have missed.”
Looking for a Proxity alternative?
Teams leave Proxity for different reasons — price, coverage, what's metered. They pick Bidscope for the same one: more state and local solicitations than any other commercially available tool, matched to a plain-language profile of your business, at a published $45 per seat per month.
