RFP 2027-04 International Business Attraction Representative for the United Kingdom (UK) The Fairfax County (Virginia USA) Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) seeks an experienced consultant based in the UK to represent Fairfax County. Description
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority is seeking a United Kingdom-based consultant to promote Fairfax County as an investment location for UK technology companies and other UK-market firms. The consultant must conduct at least 10 outreach meetings per month, generate investment prospects and announcements, maintain relationships with prospective companies, participate in industry associations and business events, arrange media and speaking opportunities, and support up to three FCEDA trips and two UK-based events annually. The consultant must maintain a physical office in London, coordinate meetings and delegations, provide monthly activity reports and bi-weekly electronic backups, and participate in weekly virtual and monthly telephone updates. The proposal must describe the offeror's qualifications, company and business-development experience, UK office and technology infrastructure, relevant technology-company and international-investment experience, industry and government relationships, media contacts, and proposed strategy. The contract is anticipated to begin January 1, 2027, for one year with two one-year renewal options, with an estimated cost of $75,000 to $80,000 per year. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and professional liability, including $5 million professional-liability limits. The response must be submitted as one PDF together with the completed Form 2022-TS-PI.
