Description
The State of Florida, Department of Military Affairs, is seeking a qualified, licensed general contractor for a facility sustainment project at the Chipley Readiness Center. Work includes maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle replacement for the 17,208-square-foot readiness center and supporting assets; no new buildings or square footage are planned. Scope may include roof and building-envelope work; interior and exterior repairs; restroom, electrical, water, HVAC, fire alarm, communications, window, lighting, fencing, and security-system repairs or replacements; parking-area resurfacing and striping; drainage and grading; and signage. The bid includes a separately priced additive alternate for demolition, renovation, and new work associated with Building 2, the Platoon Storage building. The estimated construction cost is $1,800,000. Bidders must submit the proposal form and subcontractor list, bid security of at least 5% of the bid, and qualification materials required for the applicable bid level. For bids over $500,000, the solicitation requires additional experience and qualification information, including at least two comparable completed projects within the previous five years, and a letter of intent from a bonding company.
