Description
The Bureau of Land Management is seeking capability information from dairy and livestock operations that can provide off-range corral services for wild horses and burros. The scope includes receiving, sorting, daily feeding and watering, animal preparation, humane handling, hoof trimming, health-related support, recordkeeping, transportation support, and private-care placement events. Contractors would provide the labor, land, facilities, supplies, equipment, feed, supplements, and water needed to operate compliant facilities. Facilities must meet detailed requirements for corrals, fencing, holding capacity, shelters, loading and unloading areas, covered work areas, feed and water systems, drainage, security, and emergency continuity. Contractors must maintain applicable livestock and animal-care compliance, obtain required permits, provide trained personnel including a farm project manager, and support capacities ranging from 300 to 4,000 animals. This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information for market research only; it is not a solicitation and will not result in an award based solely on responses. Responses should include facility, staffing, capacity, logistics, compliance, availability, and estimated pricing information.
