Description
The U.S. Navy is conducting a sources-sought market research effort for a potential single-award contract to provide on-site wire rope replacement services for seven portal cranes at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The contractor would furnish personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other resources needed to replace specified wire ropes, including ropes ranging from approximately 416 to 1,575 feet and from 1.125 to 1.75 inches in diameter. One 43 mm wire rope will be furnished by the Government. The draft Performance Work Statement describes a 36-month period beginning on or around June 1, 2027, with a base year and two option years. Work includes crane-specific removal and installation procedures, custom-component drawings and engineering calculations, material and end-connection certifications, inspections, quality-control documentation, and coordination with Government inspections and testing. Respondents must submit a company-letterhead notice of interest, capability information, and completed responses to the attached Request for Information questionnaire, limited to five pages; applicable brochures or capability materials may also be included. This is a sources-sought notice, not a request for pricing or proposals.
