Description
The U.S. Navy is conducting market research for a potential single-award, non-personal services contract to replace the whip, main, and luffing hoist wire ropes on Portal Cranes 83 and 85 at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor, Delta Pier. The contractor would provide all personnel, materials, equipment, transportation, tools, supervision, and related services; remove and dispose of existing wire rope; procure and install specified replacement ropes and hardware; clean and inspect sheaves and drums; apply corrosion protection and lubrication; perform tensioning; and support final inspection and government load testing. The draft PWS states that work must be completed within 330 calendar days after task-order issuance. Contractors must provide qualified riggers, an experienced on-site supervisor, work plans, material certifications, inspection reports, and quality-control documentation. Responses to this sources-sought notice must be submitted on company letterhead, include company and capability information and the completed RFI questionnaire, remain within five pages, and be emailed with the specified subject line by the response deadline. This notice is for market research only and is not a request for quotes or proposals.
