Description
The Ministry of Health and Wellness of Barbados is seeking a consulting firm to provide architectural and engineering design, tendering support, and construction supervision for the refurbishment of seven existing polyclinics and construction of two new polyclinics. The scope includes site assessments, conceptual and detailed architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related engineering designs; technical specifications, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation; integration of information technology, medical equipment, telemedicine, accessibility, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and climate resilience requirements; and support during construction procurement. The consultant will supervise construction, installation, commissioning, quality control, health and safety, environmental and social compliance, contract administration, progress and cost monitoring, testing, handover, and preparation of completion and final reports. The assignment is expected to last no more than 48 months, with construction-site technical supervision engineers required to be present daily from 9:00 to 18:00 during construction and testing. The procurement uses Quality- and Cost-Based Selection and requires a Full Technical Proposal with separate technical and financial submissions. The project is financed through the Saudi Fund for Development.
