Description
The City of Whitehorse is seeking qualified contractors to establish an indemnified-contractor list for as-needed utility installation work in city rights-of-way serving private owners and developers. The scope includes underground utility installation, including water and wastewater services, open-cut installation, site protection, traffic control, testing, disinfection, flushing, resurfacing, cleanup, service-connection records, and compliance with the City's servicing standards and applicable safety and environmental requirements. Contractors must provide a one-year warranty on completed City utility work and maintain qualified supervisory personnel, equipment, and approved subcontractors. Applicants must submit current business licensing, workers' compensation clearance, COR or SECOR certification, commercial general liability insurance, safety documentation, references, equipment and personnel information, subcontractor information, and the required schedules. The City will accept applications on an ongoing basis during the term and may add contractors to the list or remove contractors who fail to maintain compliance. The initial indemnity status runs from March 31, 2025, through April 30, 2028, unless superseded, revoked, or extended by mutual agreement.
