Description
The project involves reconstructing and widening Unser Boulevard from Cherry Road to Paseo del Volcan. Work includes earthwork, erosion control, traffic control, roadway reconstruction, drainage structures, permanent signing and striping, lighting, landscaping, utility work, and signalization. The bid schedule includes substantial quantities of roadway, paving, culvert, storm drain, water-line, traffic-control, sign, signal, and lighting work. The contractor must self-perform at least 40% of the project. Bidders must be prequalified by the New Mexico Department of Transportation and hold the required New Mexico contractor’s license and classifications. The project is partially funded by federal and state transportation funds, with applicable federal and state requirements, including prevailing-wage and disadvantaged-business-enterprise provisions. The contract provides for substantial completion within 550 consecutive calendar days after Contract Time begins.
