Description
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking an individual consultant to support policy development and capacity-building for responsible business practices in Pakistan. The assignment covers business and human rights, the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, environmental justice, labour rights, and National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights. The consultant will conduct desk research and stakeholder consultations; prepare reports and recommendations concerning Pakistan's second National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights and labour-rights challenges; develop a session proposal for the Responsible Business & Human Rights Forum; deliver two private-sector trainings; create a human-rights guidance module for financial institutions; and prepare inception and final reports. The engagement totals 150 working days over 10 months and is home-based or remote, with any required travel within Pakistan supported separately by UNDP.
