Description
The City of Sylacauga is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a new 1,350-foot road extension. Work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation and borrow, crushed aggregate base, asphalt binder and wearing surfaces, roadway pipe installation, and miscellaneous erosion and traffic control. The project must be completed within 60 working days. Bids must use the owner-provided proposal forms and include a cashier’s check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid, capped at $10,000. The bidder must provide its current Alabama contractor license number and evidence of licensure. The contractor must perform at least 30% of the total contract cost with its own organization. Proof of specified insurance is required before work begins; this requirement also applies to subcontractors. Bidders must obtain the bid documents from EEFS Company, PC to be eligible to submit a bid.
