Description
The Municipal District of Taber is seeking proposals from qualified firms, multidisciplinary teams, or other professional parties to develop and implement an equitable property taxation policy. The initiative is intended to produce a taxation framework that is equitable, transparent, sustainable, aligned with legislative requirements, and consistent with Council’s strategic priorities. Respondents must demonstrate proven experience with Alberta municipal taxation and governance projects, expertise with the Municipal Government Act, access to Alberta municipal legal counsel, policy and bylaw development experience, and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities. The estimated contract period is five months, with a proposed start date of December 1, 2026.
