Description
The City of Sarasota is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to audit all City funds and the Community Redevelopment Agency's financial statements for the fiscal years ending September 30, 2027, 2028, and 2029. The engagement includes financial statement audits, required supplementary and statistical schedules, internal-control and compliance testing, federal and state single-audit work, and reports required under Government Auditing Standards, Uniform Guidance, Florida statutes, and applicable Auditor General rules. The selected auditor must provide management letters, findings and questioned-cost schedules, assistance with the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and timely reporting of irregularities or suspected illegal acts. The proposal must describe the firm's qualifications, governmental audit experience, assigned personnel, relevant engagements and references, audit methodology, anticipated audit problems, and sample report formats. Pricing is submitted through the City's electronic solicitation system using the provided pricing table for the three annual audits.
