Description
East Feliciana Parish School District is soliciting proposals for leased lit-fiber wide area network connectivity and Internet access for eight eligible entities. The requested WAN solution must provide dedicated 10 Gbps and 20 Gbps fiber connection options, full-bandwidth availability, managed service, network equipment and interfaces, support for multiple protocols and quality-of-service tagging, and optional resilient network designs. Vendors must provide network diagrams, fiber route and special-construction details when applicable, equipment make and model information, space requirements, outage-response procedures, and performance certification reports. The District is also requesting 10 Gbps and 20 Gbps Internet access at its data center, along with a bundled basic firewall solution. The proposal must address installation and initial configuration, 24/7 availability, a 99.9% uptime expectation, help-desk and repair services, critical-outage communications, E-Rate participation and billing requirements, pricing and fees, references and experience, and technical support capabilities. The target is a fully operational network by July 1, 2027. The requested contract structure is a 36-month term with two one-year extensions, not to exceed 60 months.
