Description
This Sources Sought notice is to identify potential sources capable of performing Phase II (Resolution) of the AN/APG-68(V)9 Radar Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) program for the F-16 fighter platform. This effort will resolve issues on specified Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs) within the Modular Receiver/Exciter (MoRE) and the Common Radar Processor (CoRP) by replacing obsolete components while maintaining Form, Fit, and Function (FFF) compatibility. Tasks include project management, engineering redesign, fabrication of two engineering development units (EDUs) per SRU, verification and validation testing, and preparation for a Phase III proposal. Deliverables include prototype units and various data reports. The government is interested in understanding market capabilities for this effort, particularly regarding component obsolescence redesign and FFF-equivalent replacement for DoD aviation systems. Responses should address experience with DMSMS resolution, qualification testing, EDU fabrication, cybersecurity compliance (NIST SP 800-171 and DFARS 252.204-7012), and familiarity with the AN/APG-66/68 radar system or related Post Production Sustainment (PPS) contracts. The proposed NAICS code is 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance).
