Description
The City of Fremont is seeking a professional engineering consultant to support replacement of the Tiffin Street Bridge over Minnow Creek. The anticipated replacement is a hydraulically equivalent prestressed concrete box-beam structure, including removal of the existing bridge, railing, and concrete abutments, approach roadway work, and related right-of-way and temporary construction easements. The scope includes topographic and utility surveying; geotechnical investigations; SWPPP design; utility coordination; right-of-way and easement development; environmental services; design plans, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates; value engineering; permitting; meetings; preparation of bidding documents; limited bid-phase assistance; submittal review; and limited construction-phase support, including approximately five site visits and responses to contractor questions. The proposal must include firm qualifications, three similar projects completed within the past five years, at least five client references, key personnel and subconsultant information, workload and availability, detailed pricing, and a project approach. The RFP is limited to 20 single-sided pages plus up to three pages for the project approach, with specified formatting and binding requirements.
