Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is soliciting sealed bids for construction of pedestrian connectivity and safety improvements, consisting primarily of sidewalk and lighting work and all related labor, equipment, materials, and incidental work required by the contract documents. The project must comply with the Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017, including applicable amendments, special provisions, and addenda. The estimated base bid is $400,000–$450,000, with additive options estimated at $50,000–$60,000. Each bid requires bid security equal to 5% of the total bid price in the form of a certified check or bidder’s bond. The successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, signed or countersigned by a Mississippi resident agent. Bids may be submitted electronically through the designated plan-room website or in sealed hard-copy form.
