Description
The South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Year 2026 WAIRE Mitigation Program provides up to $73,135,300 for qualifying projects that reduce nitrogen oxide and diesel particulate matter emissions associated with warehousing. Eligible applicants include warehouse operators, fleet operators, and zero-emission truck fueling or charging infrastructure operators serving warehouses within the district’s jurisdiction. Eligible projects include the purchase of new zero-emission Class 4–8 on-road trucks and off-road yard trucks, and the installation, conversion, expansion, or decommissioning of related electric charging and hydrogen fueling infrastructure. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis by Source Receptor Area, subject to geographic, equipment, documentation, ownership, operation, labor, and cost-sharing requirements. Applications must include the applicable applicant and category applications, business information forms, vendor quotes dated within 90 days, and project-specific supporting documentation. The program may fund up to 85% of eligible costs when combined with other incentives, and funded trucks or infrastructure generally must operate for three years.
