Description
Westchester County is seeking a qualified, factory-authorized service provider for a two-year essential service contract covering a County-owned JEOL JSM-IT500LV scanning electron microscope and associated interface, detector, and stage-navigation components at the Department of Laboratories and Research. The contractor must provide labor, travel, parts, preventive maintenance, emergency diagnostic repairs, and unlimited telephone diagnostic support. Required performance includes engineer arrival within five working days of a service request, up to 12 days of field labor and/or travel during the contract term, specified column, gun, aperture, pump, and lens/high-tension maintenance, and a six-day annual labor sublimit for the stage-navigation system. Third-party accessories and water chillers are excluded. Bidders must provide fixed, flat-rate pricing for the two-year term, billed annually in advance in two equal payments. The initial coverage period is December 18, 2026, through December 17, 2028, with up to three additional annual extensions by mutual written consent. Respondents must employ factory-trained engineers with documented experience servicing JEOL electron-optical systems and provide the required insurance coverage, including general liability, umbrella/excess, automobile liability, and workers' compensation or applicable statutory documentation.
