Description
The Jefferson County Board of Education is seeking as-needed repair and service for Trane energy management systems at 30 or more schools, including the parts and materials needed for the work. The scope includes hourly labor rates for automation technicians, service technicians, and helpers during regular and overtime hours, travel charges, and software costs. Parts and non-specified items are priced at cost plus 10%; original equipment manufacturer parts are required unless the owner approves otherwise. Complete system upgrades and replacements will be bid separately. The contract is for one year from the date of award, with up to four additional annual renewals by written agreement. The successful bidder must have at least three years of similar experience, bonding capacity of at least $250,000, and personnel performing work at schools must have permissible criminal background checks on file. Sub-agents may not be used without prior owner approval. The bid form also sets a $500 limit per repair purchase order without additional authorization and a maximum three-day emergency service response time.
