Description
Jackson County School District seeks proposals for Category 1 WAN connectivity between its school sites and a district network hub, as well as Internet access and dedicated transport to the provider’s Internet point of presence. The district requests fixed, non-burstable bandwidth options, including 10 Gbps school circuits and upgrade options, and Internet bandwidth quotes from 1 Gbps to 20 Gbps. Proposals may cover WAN, Internet access, or both, and should identify managed or non-managed service options, pricing and upgrade paths, and any optional leased routers or switches. The scope includes installation and configuration, permits and rights-of-way, maintenance and warranty support, testing, network drawings, and service-response procedures. Respondents must provide a service quote, technical and operational descriptions, staff qualifications and certifications, and at least three references for similar installations. Attendance at the mandatory vendor meeting is required to bid. The district is considering a three- or five-year contract; the final term is not yet specified.
