Description
The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is soliciting bids for electrical switchgear maintenance, testing, corrective repairs, and partial discharge testing at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. The scope covers medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, protective relays, transfer switches, battery systems, motor control centers, oil-filled and dry-type transformers, low-voltage air switches, and related equipment. The contractor must perform partial discharge testing of medium-voltage cables, terminations, splices, and connected equipment using a Doble Online PD Testing System, provide formal bound reports, install UL-listed infrared windows, and provide generators and connections as needed to maintain power during service. The contractor must also provide one-time six-hour Arc Flash Safety Awareness Training for up to 20 people and four-hour portable generator connection training. The contract term is 18 months, and work is subject to prevailing wage requirements. Addendum 2 removes the exclusive SDVOB restriction; all qualified bidders may respond. The solicitation retains a 6% SDVOB goal and 15% each for MBE and WBE participation.
