Description
The New York State Bridge Authority is soliciting insurance proposals for property damage and loss-of-revenue coverage for its bridge system, including five tolled Hudson River crossings, related approaches, the Walkway Over the Hudson, gantries, and associated infrastructure. The requested coverage is specialized inland marine insurance with a total property-damage limit of $492,000,000 per occurrence and a loss-of-revenue sublimit of $166,000,000. Proposals must address the Insurance Specifications, specimen policy terms, applicable deductibles and waiting periods, flood and earthquake limits, terrorism coverage options, taxes, and brokerage fees. The procurement seeks three one-year insurance contracts beginning January 1, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions. Proposers must be licensed to do business in New York, identify preferred and alternate insurance companies, and offer insurers rated A-/X or better by A.M. Best. Required proposal content includes a coverage summary, participating-party information and roles, insurer NAIC numbers and ratings, pricing, taxes, brokerage fees, commission disclosures, an offeror disclosure and certification, and the specified appendices.
