Description
The U.S. Navy's NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support is soliciting repair, overhaul, upgrade, testing, inspection, and reassembly services for four flight-critical data distribution units identified by NSN 0098 LLZ98S384. The contractor must provide the facility, labor, materials, replacement parts, tooling, and test equipment necessary to return the units to a Ready for Issue condition in accordance with approved OEM technical manuals, drawings, and repair procedures. Repairs must be performed at the facility identified in the proposal, and the contractor must maintain applicable process-control, quality, calibration, configuration-management, packaging, storage, and inspection systems. The initial induction period is 365 calendar days from contract award, with a government option to extend the period by an additional 365 days. Offerors must provide option pricing for a maximum of 20 units over the entire contract period, including the initial quantity. The requirement is flight-critical and requires government source approval before award; the contractor must identify the repair source and location and comply with applicable source-approval, technical-data, and government review requirements. The government may determine units to be beyond economical repair, missing components on induction, or requiring over-and-above repair, subject to the stated approval and disposition procedures.
