The Government of Saskatchewan is establishing a continuously open prequalified supplier list for operating leases of various earthmoving equipment and attachments on an as-needed basis. The equipment will support Ministry of Highways culvert maintenance, drainage work, and excavation of road failures, including steel-track excavators and attachments such as toothed buckets, smooth cleanout or landscaping buckets, hydraulic thumbs, and rock rippers or shanks. Prequalified suppliers will be invited to compete in subsequent second-stage procurements. Each resulting lease is expected to run for 60 months, with 500 operating hours per year, although alternative leasing terms may be considered. The Ministry may purchase the equipment and attachments before the lease ends if funding becomes available. Suppliers already prequalified under RFSQ 8438 are not required to respond to this continuous onboarding opportunity.
