Description
The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is soliciting a contractor to complete roadway, parking-area, and adjacent-site improvements on its campus. The work includes asphalt milling and paving; subgrade preparation; tree protection and root barriers; underground utility repairs; erosion control; drainage infrastructure; grading; sidewalks, ADA ramps, curbing, four patio areas; five speed-table crosswalks and three additional crosswalks with brick paver inlays; striping, pavement markings, and signs; replacement of an entry/exit gate track; a vehicle detection system compatible with the existing gates; temporary sidewalk removal; sod; fencing; debris removal; and required permits. The project is scheduled to begin December 23, 2026, or upon contract execution, whichever is later, with substantial completion required by August 6, 2027. The contract has a maximum amount of $2,953,105.00 and expires September 30, 2027. Respondents must be properly licensed in Florida and must complete a pre-bid qualification submission before proceeding to the qualified bid stage. The solicitation requires sealed hard-copy and electronic submissions, a 5% bid bond, evidence of ability to provide 100% payment and performance bonds, insurance documentation, financial information, qualifications and references, and the completed solicitation appendices.
