Description
The Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority is soliciting sealed bids for infrastructure improvements associated with the Pedestrian Access Project at the entrance to Old San Juan. The project area is bounded by the San Antonio Channel, Miramar, PR-16, and PR-26, and is funded through the Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery and Investment Portfolio for Growth programs. Bidders must inspect the site and account for existing access, topography, utilities, labor, transportation, materials handling, equipment, weather, and surface and subsurface conditions. A bid bond issued by an insurer authorized to do business in Puerto Rico is required in the amount of 5% of the total bid. The award and contract execution are subject to applicable environmental review and authorization for use of federal funds. Minority-owned, woman-owned, labor-surplus-area, and other eligible businesses are encouraged to participate, subject to applicable program requirements.
