Description
This qualification-based procurement seeks firms to perform construction services for rockfall hazard S042 near Whiteman's Pond, approximately 5 km southwest of Canmore, Alberta. The work covers an approximately 350 m highway-adjacent site with rock slopes, talus deposits, and avalanche-related access constraints. The construction scope includes rock scaling; installation of spot bolts on rock; installation of barrier anchors in talus and bedrock; installation of hybrid, dynamic, and F-Shape rockfall barriers; and installation of survey prisms. Tree removal is excluded because it will be completed before construction. Firms must achieve at least 65% of the available evaluation score to be pre-qualified and invited to the subsequent tender process. The project will use a design-bid-build delivery method, with an estimated five-month contract period and proposed start date of March 22, 2027.
