Description
The School Board of Clay County seeks a contractor to replace legacy multimode infrastructure with an OS2 single-mode fiber optic backbone at Shadowlawn Elementary School. The scope includes supplying and installing at least 12-strand plenum-rated fiber on five MDF-to-IDF runs, using existing pathways where feasible, and providing terminations, fiber enclosures, patch cords, labeling, and fusion splicing or precision LC terminations. Corning or equivalent products are acceptable, subject to the District’s approval of equivalents. The contractor must test and commission the installation, including bidirectional Tier 1 (OLTS) and Tier 2 (OTDR) testing at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, and provide electronic test results and as-built documentation before final invoice approval. The work includes a minimum one-year workmanship warranty and a 25-year manufacturer system performance warranty. A mandatory site survey is required before bidding. Proposals must include line-item pricing, technical and company qualifications, references, and the completed solicitation documents. Bidders must hold the specified Florida low-voltage license and certifications, have a valid SPIN with active FCC “Green Light” status, and provide proof of required qualifications.
