Description
The School District of Clay County seeks a contractor to provide and install approximately 5,000 feet of OS2 single-mode fiber-optic backbone cabling at Shadowlawn Elementary School, replacing legacy multimode infrastructure. Work includes installation, termination, testing, and commissioning to provide 10G-capable connectivity between the main distribution frame and intermediate distribution frames. Corning or equivalent products are acceptable if they meet or exceed the solicitation’s specifications. Fiber patch cords are included; SFP/SFP+ transceivers, their installation, and switch configuration are excluded and will be provided by the District. A site walk is mandatory to verify conduit capacity, routing, vertical rises, and distances before submitting a proposal. The executed Addendum 1 must be included with the proposal. The District requires registered E-Rate vendors to provide a SPIN number, and proposals are due November 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EST. The District may award based on initial proposals without further negotiations.
