The United Nations Development Programme is soliciting bids for the rehabilitation and graveling of approximately 21 kilometers of existing rural roads in Naw Abad, Gulbaghe Temoryan, Gulbaghe Baloch, and Peer Mohammad villages in Chardara and Dasht-e-Archi districts, Kunduz Province. The work includes excavation, cutting and filling, reshaping, watering and compaction, placement of approved granular base-course material, construction of side drainage channels, installation of reinforced concrete pipes and related structures, donor signboards, site cleaning, debris removal, and demobilization. The contractor must provide the labor, materials, machinery, supervision, quality control, testing, safety equipment, and environmental and social safeguards required for completion. The solicitation requires a six-month implementation period, a mandatory physical site visit, a technical bid, completed bidding forms, a detailed work plan or Gantt chart, quality assurance and quality control documentation, key-personnel CVs, equipment availability evidence, relevant road-construction experience, audited financial statements, and a completed price schedule. A bid security of AFN 800,000 is required, and the successful bidder must provide performance security equal to 10% of the total contract price.
