Description
The City of Kingsland is soliciting proposals for the 2026 LMIG Supplement Asphalt Resurfacing project, covering approximately 1.79 miles of specified city streets. Work includes tack application, a 1.5-inch overlay of 0.95 asphalt, City-provided manhole and valve extension rings, smooth transitions at driveways and side streets, and traffic control. The contractor must match existing striping layouts, including railroad crossings, stop bars, crosswalks, and long lines, using thermoplastic with reflective beads. Addendum 1 adds resurfacing of the Kingsland City Hall parking lot with a 1.5-inch overlay, leveling as needed, overlaying up to rollover curbing to eliminate trip hazards, and restriping the lot to include handicap parking spaces. The proposal must include pricing and an estimated completion time; work must be completed within 180 days after contract commencement and written notice to proceed. A 5% bid bond is required, with 100% performance and payment bonds required from the awarded contractor before notice to proceed.
