Description
The 30th Contracting Squadron (30 CONS) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify sources capable of providing a modular fiber optic test platform. This platform is intended for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks, requiring a portable and versatile solution. The system must include a modular mainframe with at least four slots, battery power, and a minimum of 128 GB of internal flash memory. Crucially, the mainframe must not contain any integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other RF-transmitting hardware. The system will come with two separate optical test modules: a quad-wavelength OTDR module (850/1300 nm and 1310/1550 nm) featuring intelligent link mapping for automatic interpretation and pass/fail diagnosis, and an optical test module capable of measuring both Chromatic Dispersion (CD) and Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) using a one-ended loopback configuration. All optical test ports must have tool-free swappable connector adapters. The complete system, including the mainframe and modules, must be delivered in a single, hard-sided transit case with a fiber optic loopback mirror (UPC polish connector) included.
