Description
The City of Vernon is seeking proposals to construct an active transportation network along Kalamalka Lake Road, Pottery Road, Polson Drive, and 14th Avenue, including a barrier-protected multi-use path, cycle paths, and new traffic signals at Pottery Road and Highway 6. The work also includes road reconstruction, drainage, sanitary upgrades, and active transportation extensions on adjacent streets. The successful bidder must separately contract with the Regional District of North Okanagan for associated watermain work. The addendum extends the questions deadline to October 15, 2026, and the proposal closing date to October 27, 2026. The council-approved budget is $6.9 million all-in, including engineering, geotechnical, testing, and third-party utility costs. The contractor is responsible for quality-control testing; the owner may conduct quality-assurance testing.
