Description

The University of Utah, on behalf of the Utah Education and Telehealth Network consortium, is soliciting proposals for leased lit-fiber Ethernet wide-area-network services, shared backbone connections, standalone Internet access, and related Category One network equipment. The procurement covers hundreds of circuits and locations, with requested capacities ranging from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps, including approximately 433 1-Gbps services, 85 10-Gbps services, and additional services at varying capacities. Wireless and dark-fiber solutions are generally not accepted unless specifically requested. Vendors must provide firm, all-inclusive recurring and non-recurring pricing, bid only where the required infrastructure is available or obtainable, and submit applicable cost proposals separately from the technical proposal. WAN and backbone pricing generally requires a five-year term with one optional one-year extension; Internet access pricing requires a three-year term with two sequential one-year extensions, subject to location-specific terms. E-Rate-supported vendors must have a USAC-issued SPIN, maintain current FCC Form 473/SPAC compliance, and complete the required E-Rate terms and conditions. Multiple awards may be made by location.
