Sole Source Maintenance Agreement for Mass Spectrometer and UPLC System

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Thermo Electron North America LLC for an annual maintenance agreement. This agreement covers a Thermo Orbitrap Fusion Lumos mass spectrometer and an attached Thermo RSLCnano UPLC system. Thermo Electron North America LLC is the exclusive provider of service and maintenance for these highly complex instruments due to their proprietary parts and specialized training required by their service engineers. The anticipated period of performance for this agreement is January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028. This action is being considered under FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) for sole source procurement.
