Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) for Prototype Projects

This Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) is a competitive solicitation seeking proposals for innovative, commercial technologies to accelerate the attainment of defense capabilities. Subject to the availability of funds, this CSO will result in the award of Other Transactions (OT) for prototype projects. The CSO outlines a three-phase process: Solution Brief, Pitch, and full written proposal. The government is interested in adopting innovative and emerging technologies to further its operational capabilities. The CSO is soliciting Solution Briefs in response to Areas of Interest (AOI), which will be published separately and posted to SAM.gov. The CSO outlines the competitive procedures to submit a response to an AOI and consists of three-phases: Solution Brief, Pitch, and full written proposal.
