Disability Claimants Transportation Services

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts MassAbility Commission's Disability Determination Services (DDS) is soliciting bids for transportation providers throughout the Commonwealth. The DDS is seeking vendors who can provide reliable, pre-arranged point-to-point, round trip, and multipoint transportation services for claimants, transporting them from their homes to consultative examination appointments and back when applicable. The vendor will provide safe, timely, and cost-effective transportation on an as-needed basis, adhering to industry standards and all applicable State and Federal Laws. The contract is a fee-for-service rate contract. The compensation structure includes a pick-up fee of $5.00 plus $3.75 per mile for the round trip, and a wait time fee of $8.25 for every fifteen minutes ($33.00 per hour) if the transportation provider is scheduled to wait for the claimant to complete the appointment. Vendors must maintain updated driver license status, background screening, and personnel information. The selected vendors will be expected to provide oversight of their transportation providers and/or drivers.
