Organic Industrial Base Modernization

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Anniston Army Depot (CCTA-HDA) is utilizing a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) to procure innovative commercial items, technologies, and services for the modernization of its Organic Industrial Base (OIB). This initiative aims to enhance the Army's capabilities in areas such as agile facilities, connected digital enterprise, advanced manufacturing, digital twin technology, automation, and cyber security, collectively known as Convergent Manufacturing. The CSO process allows the Department of Defense to competitively select proposals based on expert review and offers a streamlined acquisition process with simplified contract terms, resulting in FAR-based contracts awarded under Part 12 Commercial Item Procedures. Both traditional and non-traditional defense contractors are eligible for award under this CSO, which seeks solutions to accelerate the delivery of advanced capabilities to the Warfighter and optimize the Defense Manufacturing Base for current and future missions.
